More of a swan song than spirited speech

The media may have tagged Prime Minister Manmohan Singh’s reply in the Lok Sabha to the debate on the motion of thanks to the President for his address to the joint session of Parliament, as ‘aggressive’. But, the speech really was more of a swan song that interestingly came a day after his party’s recently anointed leader Rahul Gandhi said that occupying the post of Prime Minister was not on his list of priorities.
