We shouldn’t have let the marines go

The brazenness with which the Italian Government has refused to send back to India its two marines who are being tried for murder here, is only matched by the pusillanimity with which the Indian Government has handled the issue from its end. The two accused were permitted by the Supreme Court to travel to Italy late last month to cast their vote in the February 24-25 national election.
