The Italian job

Finally, what was feared for long has happened. The two Italian marines who gunned down innocent fishermen off the coast of Kerala have escaped. They will not return to India to face justice. Right from the day the two were apprehended, they were treated with kid gloves. Instead of being bundled to jail, they were hosted in a rest house; a Christmas break was charitably granted; and finally they were allowed to go home to vote! These were clear indicators that a plan for their exit was being prepared all along.
