'Dawood forms links with Maoists for illegal mining'

In a startling revelation, the intelligence agencies have in a recent classified report warned that even underworld don Dawood Ibrahim has established contacts with the Maoist outfits in India, seeking their help for illegal mining operations. According to a note sent to security and intelligence establishments, which has been accessed by this newspaper, the underworld don wants the Naxals’ help in mineral-rich states like Jharkhanad, Chhattisgarh, Bihar and Orissa where they have a formidable network.
