Some poetic wisdom for embattled BJP

Noted poet and lyricist Sahir Ludhianvi is an unlikely guide for the Bharatiya Janata Party and the Janata Dal (United) to help manage their sharp and increasingly acrimonious differences over the possible candidature of Mr Narendra Modi for the prime ministership. But the two parties will do well to heed the writer’s famous song, “Chalo ek baar phir se ajnabi ban jayen hum dono”, and take a cue from the lines. Given the circumstances where a parting of ways has become imminent, a bit of philosophical outlook will harm neither of the contending parties.
