How the allotments for Arunachal's hydel projects flow back to political funding

Hydropower's first surge in Arunachal Pradesh happened around 2006, and involved the state government handing projects earmarked for the public sector to private companies. In May 2000, the Centre allocated six projects in Arunachal, adding up to 20,700 mw, to the National Hydro Power Corporation (NHPC).
