Mockery of justice

The acquittal on Tuesday of senior Congress leader Sajjan Kumar in connection with the killing of Sikhs in 1984, is a shocking case of miscarriage of justice, and deserves to be challenged. A Delhi Sessions Court, which let off Mr Kumar, had before it the testimony of at least three key witnesses, all of whom told the court that Mr Kumar had incited mobs against the Sikhs in Raj Nagar area of Delhi Cantonment after Indira Gandhi had been shot by her Sikh bodyguards.
