Will voters punish SP for rising crime?

A little over a year ago, Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) supremo Mayawati issued a grim forecast about what awaited the people of Uttar Pradesh in a Samajwadi Party (SP) regime. “People will soon be fed up with the working of SP government and will remember the good governance under our rule,” Mayawati said before leaving office following the BSP’s loss in the February-March 2012 Uttar Pradesh election. “The people will vote us back to power.”
