BSY proves fatal for BJP

After a gap of seven years, Congress made an impressive comeback in Karnataka, demolishing BJP’s lone base in Southern India. The Yeddyurappa factor spelled the doom for the BJP, which tied for the second place with the Janata Dal(S). The Congress bagged 121 seats in 224-member Assembly while the BJP and JD(S) won 40 seats each.
