SC's stinging comments on CBI's conduct on Coalgate seal the fate of Ashwani Kumar

CBI director Ranjit Sinha has acknowledged the truth of what the Supreme Court had to say regarding CBI investigations into coal block allocations, which include the observation that the premier investigating agency has become "a caged parrot, speaking in its master`s voice". Charges against the CBI for genuflecting before the political executive of the day have flown thick and fast for decades. On several occasions the courts, including the apex one, have chided the premier investigation agency for its supine conduct.
