Siddaramaiah set to win race for Karnataka top job

Siddaramaiah is the frontrunner for Karnataka chief minister's post, with the Congress leadership veering towards picking someone from among legislators of the state assembly. The competition between legislators and Union ministers is likely to settle in favour of an MLA. It would pave the way for Siddaramaiah to assume the top job since the other contender and PCC chief G Parameshwara lost the assembly election. Union ministers Mallikarjuna Kharge and Veerappa Moily are the others in the fray.
