Mamata Banerjee snubs HC on poll plans

The state election commission (SEC) on Saturday came up with a three-phase schedule for panchayat polls in line with Calcutta High Court's 24-hour deadline but the Mamata Banerjee government remained defiant, showing no hurry to comply with the court's directive to name the observers and give details of arrangements within the timeframe.
