Politics of revenge

Despite a rap on its knuckles from the Supreme Court for blatantly interfering in the functioning of the Central Bureau of Investigation, the Congress-led UPA regime has clearly not cared to mend it ways. Instead, it continues to use the country's premier investigating agency as a political weapon against its adversaries. And so it is that the CBI has now trained its guns on senior BJP leader Gulab Chand Kataria, who heads the Opposition in the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly, and sought to implicate him in the Sohrabuddin Sheikh encounter case.
