Cronyism takes over governance

This Wednesday, when the UPA was giving itself full marks for governance at a function to release its annual report card, there was no electricity in the middle class locality in Delhi where I stay. Sonia Gandhi came, Samajwadi Party didn’t; Sonia endorsed the Prime Minister and they all went home after a bit of poetry, but the power remained off.
