Rhetoric wasn't the need of the hour. Action was. Compromise wasn't the need of the hour, upholding the spirit of the game was. Finally, the need of the hour was to ask N Srinivasan to resign and in doing so win back the belief of the fans. On the contrary, the BCCI Working Committee chose to be diplomatic and let down a billion cricket fans.
