Pakistan possibilities

As Nawaz Sharif assumes charge, Delhi must be alive to new openings with Islamabad. As Nawaz Sharif takes the reins for the third time, there is scepticism in India on his ability to handle the many crises that confront Pakistan, let alone transform it. The Indian pessimism is rooted in the presumption that nothing will change in Pakistan and it is doomed to hurtle downhill. Such certitudes are unwise. They are also of no help in dealing with the multiple possibilities on our north-western frontiers.
