With ruling JD (U) and BJP poised to part ways following the elevation of Gujarat CM Narendra Modi in the saffron party, independent MLAs are in great demand in Bihar these days. If the NDA splits, the JD-U would need support of four MLAs to prove majority in the 243-member House.
