The Congress, which backed Nitish Kumar in the trust vote in the Bihar assembly on Wedbnesday, appears to be hoping that the JD(U) will return the favour by supporting the Centre's legislative measures. JD(U) has 20 members in the Lok Sabha. The lack of required numbers and stiff resistance from Opposition have been stalling all major initiatives of the Manmohan Singh government inside Parliament.
