Towards 2050: structural shifts

The structure of the Indian economy will change radically by 2050. A projection of the magnitude of this change requires some assumption about growth rates. But the broad picture about the structural shift is more or less invariant for an overall growth rate in the range of six to eight per cent, with agricultural GDP growing at three or four per cent, industrial GDP at eight or nine per cent and service sector GDP at six or eight per cent.
