Emergency files destroyed? RTI merry-go-round goes on

On this very day 38 years ago, President Fakhruddin Ali Ahmed, on Indira Gandhi's request, had declared a state of Emergency. But the government claims to have no documents about this dark chapter, with neither the PMO nor the home ministry (MHA) responding to RTI activist Manoranjan Roy, who sought information on the event last month.
