Britain's attempt to to keep immigrants out will backfire

The British home secretary Theresa May has proposed that Indians wanting to visit the country should furnish a bond of 3000 pounds. On the one hand, the British government wants to allay Indian fears by saying that this scheme will be tightly targeted at a small number of visa applicants assessed to pose a high risk of overstaying.
