Legislators, unless convicted

Nearly three of every five MLAs in Bihar have criminal charges pending against them, as have half of those in Maharashtra and Kerala, and around a third of those in Gujarat, Tamil Nadu and Orissa. Among Lok Sabha MPs, half in Maharashtra and a third in a few states have cases pending. In contrast, none of the MPs from Himachal Pradesh, Mizoram or Goa has a case pending against him.
