Shameful sexism

Senior Congress leader Digvijaya Singh's comment on MP Meenakshi Natarajan — calling her 'tunch maal' — clearly reflects the sexism rife in politics today. Natarajan was made AICC secretary in 2008 by Rahul Gandhi, during his drive to induct talented youth from non-political families. She went on to win the Mandsaur seat in Madhya Pradesh with a landslide conquest in 2009's general elections.
