Study throws light on transformation of India’s population

Mixing between India’s two founding populations, known as the Ancestral North Indians and the Ancestral South Indians, took place between 1,900 and 4,200 years ago, scientists from the Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology in Hyderabad and Harvard Medical School wrote in a paper published on Friday.
