Attempt to destroy evidence in coal scam so there is no proof of crime, says Jaitley

The abrupt departure of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh from Parliament after making a statement on the missing coalgate files infuriated the Opposition and consumed the day’s proceedings on Tuesday. The Opposition stalled the proceedings as it was not satisfied with the Prime Minister’s statement. Several members in both Houses wanted the PM to explain if the files were missing or not and what action would be taken against those responsible for their loss.
