'Secular' SP's communal shades

When the Samajwadi Party came to power, there were apprehensions about break-down in law and order. Political pundits predicted that there would be increase in communal riots. The Bahujan Samaj Party supremo Mayawati even said that people would fondly recall her Government within six month’s time. The predictions have come true as in the 18-month rule of the Akhilesh Yadav Government, 40 communal skirmishes have been reported in which at least 48 people lost their lives.
