LK praises PM candidate Modi

In his first remarks after BJP named Narendra Modi its PM nominee in the teeth of his opposition, veteran leader L K Advani made a conciliatory gesture by acknowledging Modi's elevated status and praising his record in office. Speaking at a function here on Monday, Advani said, "My colleague Narendra Modi, who has been named as the party's PM candidate for the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, has done impressive work in Gujarat."
