IAS officer who busted scam elated, former cop silent

A senior IAS officer and a retired IPS officer are at the top of a list of those being given credit for the conviction of 45 people in a 17-year-old fodder scam case. Amit Khare, then a Bihar-cadre IAS officer, was deputy commissioner of West Singhbhum district in 1996 when he stumbled upon the scam.
