'Rioter' Maulana is state guest of SP govt

On one hand, Samajwadi Party-led UP has launched a crackdown on those involved in the Muzaffarnagar riots. But on the other hand, it's rolling out the red carpet for rioters and hate-mongers. This was exposed again when the SP government brought Muslim cleric Maulana Nazir - a riot accused - in a chartered plane on September 30 to attend a meeting of the Sadbhawana Samiti (committee of social harmony) which is constituted by SP president Mulayam Singh Yadav, and headed by his brother and PWD minister Shivpal Singh Yadav.
