PM meets Rahul G, wants him to play the lead role

When Rahul Gandhi met Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Wednesday, October 2, Singh told Gandhi to take a more active role in leadership. He also said that Gandhi ought to lead the next government. PMO officials and politicians briefed on the meeting between the two said the 81-year-old PM was extremely unlikely to seek a third term in office, should the UPA muster the numbers in the Lok Sabha elections, due sometime after March next year.
