IAF donates salaries for Uttarakhand flood victims while state govt spends on ads
They flew helicopters in hostile weather and nearly impossible terrain to rescue thousands of people trapped in the wake of the devastating floods in Uttarakhand in June. Now, the air warriors of the Indian Air Force have displayed another noble act by depositing a day's salary, totalling Rs 8.3 crore, in the Prime Minister's Relief Fund for rehabilitation efforts in the hill state.
