Modiphobia sends UP stalwarts scurrying

Narendra Modi’s successful rally in Kanpur on Saturday has sent political parties looking for cover. They have literally started brandishing their caste to counter the Modi surge that has spread to almost all of Uttar Pradesh. Knowing well that in State politics, caste is the one driving force that can catapult a party to power, the Samajwadi Party, Congress and Bahujan Samaj Party have planned caste-based rallies and meetings to counter Modi’s magic.
