At Cong meet, anti-Gogoi camp swells to 44 MLAs

In a fresh turmoil in the Assam Congress, as many as 44 MLAs, out of the total 79, expressed lack of confidence in ministers of the Tarun Gogoi Cabinet and demanded swearing-in a "new government". Questioning the leadership of 77-year-old Gogoi, they said the ministers are no more following the CMs orders and the situation could not continue like this ahead of the Lok Sabha elections.
