Minefield of illegality: CBI must investigate Odisha’s mining racket

The Central Bureau of Investigation must probe the role of the Odisha Government led by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik in the proliferation of illegal mining in the State. The findings of the Justice MB Shah Commission of Inquiry, which went into the gamut of the scandal, can form a good basis for the probe.
