Congress and PDP smell politics in Geelani's release

Both the Congress party and the Peoples Democratic Party are accusing the ruling National Conference of releasing Hurriyat hardliner Syed Ali Shah Geelani from house arrest to ensure a poll boycott in Jammu and Kashmir. The Omar Abdullah-led state government, on its part, has denied the charge brought against it by its ruling partner and the main opposition party.
