Muzaffarnagar on the boil

National Secretary of Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) MP Abdussamad Samdani was stabbed on Friday by a man, belonging to Jat community, when he went to meet the representative of Jat community to restore peace in the region. The incident took place in Pallappura. Meanwhile, body of a 60-year-old farmer, Qamaruddin, was found with his throat slit in Budhana area on Thursday late night. Rural belt of the district remained under strict vigil and schools, colleges, markets, shops were kept closed in protest following the attack on two doctors on Thursday.
