Rahul Gandhi draws EC fire: Comments violated model code

Expressing displeasure over the "tone, tenor and content" of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi's poll speeches accusing BJP of instigating one community against another, the Election Commission on Wednesday advised him to be more circumspect in future. The EC did not accept Rahul's reply to its notice that he was criticizing the main opposition's policies and in its five-page order, the poll watchdog said the leader's comments were not in consonance with the model code of conduct.
