Advani adds fresh evidence to stoke Nehru-Patel controversy fire

BJP veteran LK Advani on Monday quoted another book to claim there were differences between Jawaharlal Nehru and Sardar Patel on the issue of police action to rein in defiant rulers of Hyderabad after Independence. Advani had first claimed it in his earlier blog wherein he quoted from The Story of an Era Told without Ill Will — by former bureaucrat MKK Nair. Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Manish Tewari had then joined issues with the senior BJP leader and countered the claim.
