SP loses its candidates to rival parties

In the run-up to the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, a number of candidates from the Samajwadi Party (SP) appear to be turning hostile, causing major disruptions for arguably the biggest potential rival of the Bharatiya Janata Party. It might just be an indication of the way where the wind is blowing. Even though the SP declared its candidates on almost all parliamentary seats three months ago, party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav has so far changed at least a dozen candidates.
