Building indigenous think tanks

The Indian ruling establishment wants India to be a leader in global knowledge economy. Saudi Arabia has more limited aspiration of building world-class research capacity in energyrelated fields. But it backs up its aspirations by setting up a world-class think tank, the King Abdullah Petroleum Research and Studies Centre.
