Modi calls for public debate on Article 370

Without deviating from the BJP's policy of seeking J&K's integration with the rest of the country, Narendra Modi on Sunday cited former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee's three-point policy for the state — humanity, democracy and Kashmiriyat. While ruling out a "separate state" as visualized by the Congress party, Modi called for a "super state", asserting that only the BJP can help it erase its "beggar" image to become a "better" province.
