Raman scores a hat-trick

Chief Minister Raman Singh led the BJP to a hat-trick of wins in Chhattisgarh, where the saffron party retained power by a margin of 49 seats in the 90-member Assembly on Sunday, trouncing the Opposition Congress's spirited bid to wrest Raipur after a decade. The counting day, however, resembled a T-20 cricket match with the nail-biting result coming in the final over.
