Lalu to be freed, parties look at new equations in Bihar

Patna/New Delhi, Dec 13 - The Supreme Court Friday granted bail to RJD chief Lalu Prasad, jailed two months ago on corruption charges, triggering celebrations and speculation about new political equations in Bihar. The apex court ruling in New Delhi was received with joy by his family and supporters who burst firecrackers, distributed sweets and smeared colour on each other in Patna and across Bihar.
