UPA hopes to seal Telangana deal before polls

The process of creation of Telangana as the 29th state of the Indian Union has progressed to its final stages with the draft Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Bill 2013 coming before the state's Legislative Assembly and Legislative Council for the views and comments of legislators. President Pranab Mukherjee has given the legislators six weeks, until January 23, to discuss and remit the Bill.
