Post-Cong divorce, DMK makes efforts to woo BJP

Though DMK chief M Karunanidhi has “categorically” rejected any alliance with the BJP for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, the Dravidian party, which “divorced” the Congress recently, is still exploring the possibilities of a tie-up with the saffron party. The Tamil Nadu BJP headquarters in Chennai is agog with rumours about the “behind the scenes” channel of communications between a DMK bigwig and some of the BJP leaders in the State.
