Govt Should Not Shoot from Court’s Shoulder

The review petition filed by the United Progressive Alliance government in the Supreme Court against its verdict on Section 377 of the Indian Penal Code is too clever by half. It does not want to take an unambiguous stand on homosexuality and would, therefore, like to shoot from the shoulders of the apex court.
