DMK left scraping through leftovers in search of allies

The Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) spent 14 of the last 15 years as part of the Union government. That’s more than can be said of the Congress or the Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP). But the DMK’s luck with allies seems to be running out ahead of the coming Lok Sabha elections. Faced with internal dissatisfaction with the Congress, public posturing dissonant to allying with the BJP and an outright rejection by the Left, the DMK is now left scouring the field for political leftovers in terms of alliances.
