Blow for newspaper industry as SC upholds wage board’s advice

In a decision that will adversely affect the newspaper industry, particularly the weaker ones among them, the Supreme Court on Friday asked newspapers and news agencies to implement the recommendations of Majithia Wage Board and pay their employees the revised pay scale with arrears from November 2011.
