Mid-year economic review: Inflation is top threat to growth

As the United Progressive Alliance comes to the end of its term, the finance ministry and the central bank have achieved a consonance of views on inflation — that it's the top threat to growth. Prices need to be curbed so that the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) can push growth, the government said in its mid-year review of the economy that was presented in Parliament on Thursday.
