New bank licences likely in March

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) is likely to issue new bank licences by next month with the Bimal Jalan committee recommending its shortlist of candidates to the central bank on Tuesday. Government sources also indicated that the process would be unaffected by the election code of conduct.
